“A Soft Simple View”- Taube Museum of Art

(Minot) The upcoming, Main Gallery exhibition at the Taube Museum of Art, from May 1 – June 9, 2012 will feature works by Jane Kalmbach. A Soft Simple View is a combination of mixed media works, from acrylic to pastels, applied to everything from canvas to a wedge of bark.

The Artist states “My art is a reflection of my soul, and can be inspired by the simple pose of a dog.” Jane is owner of Dakota Blessings Art Studio, Kenmare and is co-founder/workshop facilitator for the Kenmare Summer Arts Institute. She also teaches for the North Dakota Council on the Arts Teacher Incentive Grants and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Jr.

The public reception, which is free and open to the public, May 10, 2012 from 5:30-7:00 pm. Hors d’ouevres and wine will be served. Museum and Gift Shop hours are Tues – Fri 10:30 – 5:30 pm, and Sat 11:00 am – 4:00 pm or by special appointment. There is no charge for admission, but contributions are accepted to help the Taube Museum fulfill their mission of enriching lives through the visual arts. The exhibition is made possible with support from the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
