Summertime is heating up in the Magic City.  It’s time to make some plans for a holiday weekend in Minot.  We have some great events coming up.  Nodak Racing is coming up this Sunday at the North Dakota State Fair Grounds.  As always hot laps start at 5 pm and racing starts at 6pm.  Arts and the park will also be jamming out at the Scandinavian Heritage Park on Sunday starting up at 4pm.

Just around the corner on Wednesday, July 4th we will celebrate America’s Independence day with  Festival in the Park taking place at the Scandinavian Heritage Park getting underway at 8 am with breakfast from the Wife’s Kitchen.   That will be followed up with a church service, music from the Minot City Band, and fun and games for children of all ages.

Of course you don’t want to miss the one time only ” Soaring Over the Souris” Fourth of July Air Show.  Join us for performances by the Canadian Snowbirds, Texas Flying Legends, and hometown boys Warren & Kent Pietsch.  Gates open up at 3pm and the show starts up at 6pm.  There will be shuttles running from MLT, ING and the MSU Dome from 3pm-7pm and 10pm.  Fireworks will be shown at 10:45pm.  You don’t want to miss this event.
