(Minot) The upcoming, Main Gallery exhibition at the Taube Museum of Art, from August 14 – September 29, 2012 “Real Steel,” an exhibition of three dimensional metalwork by local metal sculptor Rich Solberg and select pieces from our Permanent Collection. Much of Solberg’s work incorporates blacksmithing techniques and sometimes includes other materials, such as wood and rocks.
Through the artist’s eye, new and recycled metal morphs into unique one-of-a-kind pieces that often tell a story that Solberg lets the viewer discover. “Much of the work is whimsical,” Solberg says. “Artistic irony can be interesting.” The Taube Museum of Art
