When the temperatures drop and the snow starts to accumulate, it’s time to explore the magical city of Minot in a whole new way. From ice skating with the whole family to cross-country skiing in Oak Park, there are plenty of fun winter activities to keep you active and occupied throughout the winter months.
This year, the city will also feature a designated sledding area at the Souris Valley Golf Course. You can also expect both leisure and hockey ice rinks to open at Polaris Park (712 26th Ave NW) and Roosevelt School (619 9th St NE) around mid December. Corbett Field (13th St SE and E Burdick Expy) will also feature just a pleasure rink.
The gates are open at Souris Valley Golf Course and folks are welcome to bring out sleds and inner tubes to try out the designated sledding hill.
(Minot Park District reminds citizens to use extreme caution and keep safety in mind when using the sledding hills and all outdoor facilities. There is no warming house or rest room open at this time.)
