The Pride of Dakota Showcase is coming to the North Dakota State Fair this weekend! At this year’s showcase you will find unique products including gourmet food, wine, art, books, jewelry, apparel, children and pet items. The event runs Saturday, November 14, from 9 AM – 5 PM, and on Sunday, November 15 from 11 AM- 4 PM.

2. REFRESH Grand Opening at the Dakota Square Mall

The Dakota Square Mall is celebrating its REFRESH Grand Opening this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Join the Dakota Square Mall in celebrating their multi-million dollar remodel. There will be special discounts from participating stores throughout the weekend, and shoppers can visit Dakota Square’s newest stores: Harley Davidson, Ruth’s Maternity, Taste of India, and Paradise Spas, plus a number of seasonal kiosks.

3. Home Sweet Home Open House

Home Sweet Home from the outside doesn’t look like it would hold as many fantastic local treasures but once you enter this homey shop it does! Once you walk into this home style retail shop, the setting is immaculate. The pieces from local vendors fill each room with an unforgettable ambiance. 4. Minotauros Battle Aberdeen at Maysa Arena

Looking for some hockey action this weekend? Well, the Minotauros have you covered! The Minotauros will be storming the ice on Saturday, November 14 against the Aberdeen Wings at 7:15 PM at the Maysa Arena. With tickets costing only $12 bucks, this is a great way to spend an evening out with the whole family.

5. Hops Growing Workshop

That’s right you read that correctly! This Saturday the Comfort Inn in Minot is offering a FREE, yes we said FREE, Hops Growing Workshop. Registration starts at 9 AM and the workshop will run from 9:30 AM- 5 PM. The workshop will cover all aspects of hop production including: constructing a hop yard, selecting varieties that brewers desire, diseases, successful growing tips, and harvesting and processing the hops in a correct form for sale.
