10 Ways to Spend Father’s Day!

Wondering what to do with dad on Father’s Day? SkeDADdle on over to one of these stops in Minot:

1. Father’s Day at the Zoo

Roosevelt Park Zoo is letting all dads in for free on Sunday at 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the purchase of a kid’s admission ticket! The deal also applies to kids who have grown up (way too fast, probably).

2. Ribfest

Celebrate dad being dad at the North Dakota State Fair Grounds at Minot Ribfest. Ribs and fries are served all day along with concerts, art classes, bounce houses, a corn-hole tournament more! June 16, 17 and 18, admission: $5

3. Park District Walking Trails

Is dad an outdoors kind-of guy? Minot has great walking trails to explore in order to get some fresh air while you reminisce with dad and or/the whole family.

4. Nodak Speedway Races

Bring dad to a night of loud and proud racing at Nodak Speedway! Gates open at 5 p.m. and races start at 6 p.m. on Father’s day for the featured classes: IMCA hobby stocks, sportmods, stock cars and modifiers.

5. Arts in the Parks

Is dad into music? Minot Council of the Arts presents Arts in The Parks this summer with free concerts! Get outdoors and enjoy free music! The Denby Forest with Pablo will be performing on Father’s day, 6/18 and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Oak Park.

6. HighAir Ground 

Grab the family and bounce on over to Minot’s new trampoline park, HighAir Ground! The park has over 10,000 sq. ft. of wall-to-wall trampolines! Hours: Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 11 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.

7. Dakota Territory Air Museum

See the region’s aviation history at the Dakota Territory Air Museum. If dad’s a history buff, drag him here as the museum boasts aircrafts dating all the way back to the 1920’s. Hours: Sunday:  1– 5:00pm, Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

8. Railroad Museum

The Magic City started because of the Great Northern Railroad. The Railroad Museum of Minot runs a 2/5 scale model of a Great Northern F-8 locomotive! Board the Magic City Express located in Roosevelt Park. Hours: Saturday 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., otherwise by appointment.

9. Lucy’s Amusement Park

Put on over to this quirky spot to challenge dad in an intense game of mini-golf! The Lucy’s also has charming carnival attributes that make for a great day of fun. Located just south of town off of highway 83. Open 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

10. Escape Point
