Festival on Main: Saturday, August 17th

August 12, 2013

Arts & Entertainment, Community

The city’s annual Festival on Main (which is sponsored by the Downtown Business & Professional Association of Minot) will be held in Downtown Minot on Saturday, August 17, 2013. The family friendly festivities will start at 10am and run all day until 5pm. With everything from carnival games, inflatables, food, craft vendors and bingo to Minot Air Force Base K-9 dog demonstrations, Dakota Cruisers classic car show and a karaoke contest, there is truly something for everyone in the family to enjoy! Oh and you won’t want to miss the make-you-own sundae station at The Gourmet Chef from 12-3pm. The evening festivities (for adults 21 and over) will begin at 7pm and include beer gardens, a festive street dance and live music from local band, Soulshine.

I LOVE our downtown festival very much and try to go to it every time too and some of my favorite activities during it are watching the martial arts crew teaching/showing off their moves to us, the petting zoo at it since they bring in neat animals, the music that is played during it, the bingo with AMAZING prizes that is held in that one Fair building store and the delicious treats from the food vendors so to anyone that hasn’t been to it yet I suggest that you go this time since I bet that you’ll love it too!!
